Laravel hosting for PHP applications

Laravel is the PHP framework behind many web apps, APIs and back offices, with Eloquent, Blade, queues and a task scheduler. Run Laravel 13 on our Linux web hosting with the document root on the public folder, or on a HyperDC VPS for queue workers and services of your own.

Web hosting or a VPS for Laravel?

A Laravel app that answers web requests runs on web hosting. Queue workers, WebSockets and Octane need a server of your own.

Starting points: Laravel publishes software requirements rather than server sizes. Your own code, the database and the queue decide the load.

Everything a Laravel app needs

Deploy on web hosting with a control panel, and move to a server when the app needs workers of its own.

Start on web hosting

Our Linux web hosting runs PHP sites on LiteSpeed and NVMe storage, with free SSL and a control panel such as cPanel or Plesk.

The PHP version you need

Choose the PHP version per domain and turn on the extensions the system lists, on web hosting or on your own server.

The scheduler as a cron job

Run schedule:run every minute from your control panel’s cron jobs, or from crontab on your server.

Queue workers on a VPS

Keep queue workers, Reverb and Octane running under Supervisor or systemd on a server of your own.

HTTPS on every page

Free Let’s Encrypt certificates for your domain, so every page, from the login to the checkout, loads over HTTPS.

Staging next to production

Run a copy of the site on a second subdomain to test updates, themes and extensions before they reach your visitors.

Root access, your rules

Every Linux VPS, VDS and dedicated server comes with full root access: you choose the versions, the add-ons and the security settings.

Room to grow

Start on a VPS and move to a bigger plan, a VDS with NVMe storage or a dedicated server when your data and users grow.

Deploy Laravel in four steps

Order the app preinstalled on your server, or install it yourself with our guide.

  1. Choose your plan

Pick Linux web hosting for a small or medium site, or a VPS in the size from the table above for a busy one.

  2. Point the domain at public

Set the document root of the domain or subdomain to the project’s public folder.

  3. Upload and configure

Upload the project with its vendor folder, create .env with the database details, then run key:generate, migrate and optimize.

  4. Add the scheduler

Add a cron job that runs php artisan schedule:run every minute in the project folder.

Step-by-step setup guides

Install, secure and update the app with our guides, written for current Ubuntu and Debian releases.

Frequently asked questions

Still have a question? Send us a message and our team will reply by email.
Can Laravel run on web hosting?

Yes. Point the domain’s document root at the project’s public folder, upload the project with its vendor folder and add the scheduler as a cron job. Choose a VPS for queue workers that run all the time, Reverb WebSockets or Octane.

Which PHP version does Laravel 13 need?

PHP 8.3 or newer; Laravel 13 supports PHP 8.3 to 8.5. Set the version for the domain in your control panel and turn on extensions such as mbstring, openssl, pdo, tokenizer and xml.

How do I run queued jobs on web hosting?

Process the queue from the scheduler with queue:work and the --stop-when-empty option, or use the sync queue driver for light work. Workers that run all the time belong on a VPS, under Supervisor or systemd.

Do I need SSH access?

It helps, for Composer and Artisan commands. Without SSH, run composer install on your computer, upload the whole project with the vendor folder, and run the Artisan steps you need from a cron job or a VPS.

How long is Laravel 13 supported?

Laravel 13 was released in March 2026. It gets bug fixes until the third quarter of 2027 and security fixes until the first quarter of 2028.

Why does my Laravel app show a 500 error?

Check storage/logs/laravel.log. Common causes are a missing APP_KEY, a storage or bootstrap/cache folder that is not writable, a missing PHP extension, or a document root that does not point at the public folder.
