PrestaShop hosting plans

Tell us how big your catalog is and how many orders you expect, and our team will recommend the right plan. Or start today on our Linux web hosting and install PrestaShop with our guide.

How big a plan does your PrestaShop store need?

A small store runs well on web hosting. Large catalogs, many modules and busy sales days are happier on a VPS.

Starting points: the projects publish software requirements rather than server sizes. Catalog size, visitors and modules decide what a store needs.

Everything your PrestaShop store needs

Start on web hosting with a control panel and move to a server of your own when the store grows.

Start on web hosting

Our Linux web hosting runs PHP sites on LiteSpeed and NVMe storage, with free SSL and a control panel such as cPanel or Plesk.

The PHP version you need

Choose the PHP version per domain and turn on the extensions the system lists, on web hosting or on your own server.

HTTPS on every page

Free Let’s Encrypt certificates for your domain, so every page, from the login to the checkout, loads over HTTPS.

Cron jobs included

Order emails, indexes and cleanups run on a schedule: add the cron jobs the system documents in your control panel or on the server.

Staging next to production

Run a copy of the site on a second subdomain to test updates, themes and extensions before they reach your visitors.

Fast pages

LiteSpeed and NVMe storage on web hosting; OPcache, a page cache or Varnish on a server of your own.

Backups included

Free weekly and monthly backups come with every VPS and VDS plan. For data that changes every day, keep copies of your own as well.

Room to grow

Start on a VPS and move to a bigger plan, a VDS with NVMe storage or a dedicated server when your data and users grow.

Open your PrestaShop store in four steps

Order the app preinstalled on your server, or install it yourself with our guide.

  1. Choose your plan

Pick Linux web hosting for a small or medium site, or a VPS in the size from the table above for a busy one.

  2. Create the database

Create a database and a user in your control panel, or in MySQL or MariaDB on your server, and note the details.

  3. Upload and install PrestaShop

Upload the ZIP package from PrestaShop’s site, open your domain and follow the installer with the database details.

  4. Secure the back office

Delete the install folder, note the new name of the admin folder and turn on HTTPS for the whole shop.

Step-by-step setup guides

Install, secure and update the app with our guides, written for current Ubuntu and Debian releases.

Frequently asked questions

Still have a question? Send us a message and our team will reply by email.
Can PrestaShop run on web hosting?

Yes. Small and medium stores run well on our Linux web hosting, with a control panel such as cPanel or Plesk. Choose a VPS for large catalogs, many modules, your own caching or settings that a shared server does not allow.

What does PrestaShop 9 need?

PHP 8.1 to 8.5 for PrestaShop 9.1 and 9.2, MySQL 5.7 or MariaDB 10.2 or newer, Apache or Nginx, and a PHP memory_limit of 512 MB with extensions such as intl, gd, zip and pdo_mysql. Windows servers are not supported.

What do I do after the installer finishes?

Delete the install folder, as PrestaShop asks. The installer gives the admin folder a new name: note it, because it is the address of your back office. Then set up email, payments and HTTPS for every page.

How do I upgrade PrestaShop?

Back up the files and the database, check that your modules and theme support the new version, and run the upgrade on a staging copy first. PrestaShop’s upgrade module or its documented manual steps then update the live shop.

Does my store handle card data?

It should not. Use your payment provider’s hosted payment page or embedded fields, so card numbers go straight to the provider and never touch your server. That keeps your security obligations small; the provider’s module for your store system sets this up.

Can you move my site to HyperDC?

Migration is free on our Linux VPS plans. We copy the files and the database and update the configuration, and you switch DNS once the site works on the new server.
