Airstrafe publishes no server hardware figures and recommends regular restarts; these starting points follow common practice for an 8-player Unity survival server.

Rules, permissions and admin tools

Everything is set in DedicatedServerConfig.json; the server console handles the day-to-day.

Difficulty and custom rules

Start from Peaceful to Hardcore, or customise enemy damage, hunger and thirst, lethal cold, durability and shop settings.

Friendly fire and pacifist mode

Allow or block player damage, keep items on death and use random spawns to avoid griefing on public servers.

Area permissions

Global and area permissions decide what players may build or use, so shops stay safe.

Admin commands

Kick, ban and unban by Steam ID, list players, save the game, change the map and broadcast messages.

Autosaves and transfers

The world saves on a timer; copy a save between the server and your own save folders to move a world.

Frequently asked questions

Still have a question? Send us a message and our team will reply by email.
Is there an official Saleblazers dedicated server?

Yes. Airstrafe Interactive publishes the Saleblazers Dedicated Server as a Steam tool (app 3099600) for Windows, with official documentation for setting it up.

How many players can join a Saleblazers server?

Saleblazers is a game for 1 to 8 players, and 8 is the server’s default. The server guide notes that counts above 8 are not stable yet.

Which ports does the server use?

The game port, 27015 by default on TCP and UDP, and the query port one above it, 27016. Change the game port with HostingPort in the config.

Where is the server configured?

In DedicatedServerConfig.json, which the server creates on first start. It holds the login, admin and lobby settings: name, password, capacity, save name, mode, map, difficulty, friendly fire and permissions.

How do I make someone an admin?

Add their Steam ID to AdminSteamIDs in the config, or assign admin from the server console. Admins can kick, ban and unban by Steam ID, save the game and change the map.

Can I bring our existing world?

Yes. Copy the save from your own save folder into the server’s save folder, rename it if the number is taken, and start the lobby in Load mode. Back up both folders first.

How often does the server save?

The sample config autosaves every 600 seconds, set with AutoSaveIntervalSeconds. Admins can also save on demand from the console.

Can I keep the server private?

Yes. Set a lobby password, or hide the server so it can only be joined by direct IP connection.

Why can players not join after a game update?

The server accepts the game versions in its version range. Airstrafe keeps the version number unchanged for small hotfixes so servers keep working; after larger updates, update the server tool.

Is Saleblazers still in Early Access?

Yes. The game has been in Early Access since September 2023 and gets regular updates, most recently the Immersive Update in May 2026 and new content in September 2026.
