How much does a Squad 44 server need?
Squad 44 runs up to 100 players on large maps, so a fast CPU matters most. Mods and full servers raise memory use.

How many players can join?
Squad 44 is built for 50 versus 50, so a full server holds 100 players. Many communities start smaller and grow.

The game port, 10027 UDP by default and set with -Port, and the query port, 10037 UDP by default and set with -QueryPort.
Does the server run on Linux?
Yes. The Squad 44 Dedicated Server on Steam has Windows and Linux builds. Players need the Windows game.
Can I use mods?
Yes. Squad 44 supports the Steam Workshop, and Offworld made a modding kit available to the community.
Can I run private servers?
Yes. Offworld supports both official and private dedicated servers for Squad 44.
What roles are there?
A commander who calls in artillery and air strikes, and infantry, armoured and logistic sections with roles such as medic, machine-gunner and tank crew.
How many maps are there?
More than 20 historic battlefields across six theatres of the Second World War.
What should I do after a game update?
Update the server as well and restart it. Players on the new version cannot join a server that is still on the old one.
