LEAP is built for large battles with vehicles and jetpacks. Player count and the game mode set the load.

Mods

User-made content arrived with LEAP 1.0 in March 2023, with modded servers from day one; list mod IDs in ModIds.

Admins

Add admins by Steam ID to WhitelistedAdmins; they type /serverhelp in chat to see the admin commands.

Web console

WebServerPort, WebServerUsername and WebServerPass open a remote console in your browser; the port is 8000 by default.

Anti-cheat

bEnableAntiCheatForServer turns the anti-cheat on for your server.

Set up your LEAP server

Four steps from an empty server to the first jump.

  1. Pick modes and size

    Decide which modes you play and how many players join, then pick a size from the table above.

  2. Pick a location

    Choose the one closest to your players from our 20 game server locations.

  3. Edit Game.ini

    Set ServerName, ServerRegion, a password, your map list, mods and admins in LEAP/Saved/Config.

  4. Join the server

    Players find your server in the in-game server list by its name and region.

Can anyone host a LEAP server?

Yes. The LEAP Server tool is free on Steam as app 906940 and downloads with an anonymous SteamCMD login. Blue Isle Studios also lists partner hosts for private servers.

How many players can join?

Each game mode has its own default. Set MaxPlayersOverride in Game.ini to change it for your server.

Which ports does the server use?

The game port 7777 and the query port 27015, set with PORT and QUERYPORT when the server starts. The web console uses its own port, 8000 by default.

How do I add admins?

Add their Steam IDs to WhitelistedAdmins in Game.ini. In game, admins type /serverhelp in chat to see the commands they can use.

Can I run modded matches?

Yes. LEAP added user-made content with version 1.0 in March 2023, with support for modded servers, and Blue Isle says user mods work across platforms. List the mods in ModIds.

Which game modes can the server run?

Base Control, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, VIP and Horde, plus the Special Operations Horizon PvE mode. Set the rotation with MapListConfig.

How do I manage the server remotely?

Set WebServerPort, WebServerUsername and WebServerPass in Game.ini and open the web console in your browser.

Is LEAP still updated?

The last game and server build dates from June 2023. The game is still sold on Steam and Blue Isle ran community events into December 2025.
