How much RAM does a Conan Exiles server need?
Memory is the critical resource, and Enhanced needs more than the original version. These sizes follow Funcom’s player tiers with headroom.

Funcom’s guide for the original version lists 8 GB up to 35 players and 12 GB for 50–70 players. Enhanced uses more memory; excluding the Isle of Siptah region lowers it.
Versions, rules and mods
Choose the version first, then shape the rules for your clan.
Enhanced or Legacy
Enhanced is the Unreal Engine 5 version on Steam; Legacy is the original version on its own branch. Server and players must run the same one.
PvP, PvE and raid hours
Turn PvP and building damage on or off, and limit both to the hours you set for each weekday.
Isle of Siptah
In Enhanced, the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah are regions of one world. Exclude the Siptah region to save memory.
Workshop mods
Run Steam Workshop mods on the server. Players need the same mods, and Steam downloads them from the Workshop.
Clans and decay
Set the clan size, friendly fire and building decay. Decay is off by default in Enhanced, so abandoned bases stay.
Config files
ServerSettings.ini holds gameplay and admin settings, Engine.ini the server name and password, Game.ini the RCON settings.

What is Conan Exiles Enhanced?
A free upgrade of Conan Exiles to Unreal Engine 5, released on Steam on 5 May 2026. The original version continues as Conan Exiles Legacy on a separate Steam branch, and consoles stay on the original version.
Should my server run Enhanced or Legacy?
The version your players use: server and players need the same one. Enhanced is only available on Steam at the moment.
Which ports does a Conan Exiles server use?
7777/UDP for the game, 7778/UDP for the pinger, 27015/UDP for the server query and 25575/TCP for RCON. 7777/TCP sends mods to players on the Epic Games Store.

Can I run mods on my server?
Yes. Conan Exiles supports Steam Workshop mods and Funcom’s Dev Kit. Players need the same mods: Steam players get them from the Workshop and set the load order in the mod menu. Some mods need an update for Enhanced.
Can I limit raids to set hours?
Yes. RestrictPVPTime and RestrictPVPBuildingDamageTime limit PvP and damage to buildings to the hours you set for each weekday.
Where is the Isle of Siptah in Enhanced?
In Enhanced, the Isle of Siptah is a region of the same world as the Exiled Lands, not a separate map. Add IsleOfSiptah to ExcludedRegions in Engine.ini to turn it off.
Can I move a Legacy server to Enhanced?
Funcom describes a migration: back up game.db first. Bases on the Isle of Siptah do not carry over, and characters move with Funcom’s Server Transfer Tool.
Is building decay on by default?
Not in Enhanced: DisableBuildingAbandonment is on by default, so abandoned bases stay in the world. Turn decay on if you want old buildings to disappear.
How do players join?
Through the server browser or with Direct Connect and the address and port. A server that does not show up in the browser can still be joined with Direct Connect.
