Dokploy: deploy apps and Compose stacks on your own servers

Deploy applications and native Docker Compose stacks behind Traefik with automatic HTTPS, run MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or Redis with backups, and add nodes with Docker Swarm. Run it on a HyperDC server, preinstalled as an app option or set up with our guide.

  • Native Docker Compose with Traefik and HTTPS
  • Databases with scheduled backups
  • Several nodes and remote servers with Docker Swarm
  • Templates, monitoring, API and CLI
Stack
Next.js, PostgreSQL 16, Traefik 3, Swarm
Default portsThese ports must be free when you install. Once the panel runs on an HTTPS domain, close direct access to port 3000.
3000 (panel), 80/443 (Traefik)
Minimum
2 GB RAM, 30 GB disk
Your data
PostgreSQL and /etc/dokploy

Plans are being prepared

We are preparing ready-to-use plans for Dokploy. Tell us how you will use it and how many users you expect, and we will reply with a server that fits. You can also start today on a Linux VPS and install it with our guide.

Which server size fits?

Starting points for vCPU, memory and disk. Grow the server when your data and users grow.

Dokploy asks for at least 2 GB of RAM and 30 GB of disk and is tested on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and Debian 12, among others. The larger columns are conservative starting points for more apps and nodes.

Built around Docker Compose

Bring the compose files you already have and let Dokploy handle routing, certificates and updates.

Native Compose

Deploy Docker Compose stacks as they are, or applications from Git with Nixpacks, Dockerfiles or buildpacks.

Traefik routing and HTTPS

Point a domain at an app and Dokploy configures Traefik with a Let’s Encrypt certificate.

Swarm clusters

Add worker nodes with Docker Swarm, or manage remote servers from the same panel.

Databases and backups

Run MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB or Redis and back them up on a schedule.

Full root access

Install what the app needs, change any setting and run more services next to it. Nothing is locked behind a panel.

App option or step-by-step guide

Order the server with the app installed as an option, or set it up yourself on a clean Linux server with our guide.

Near your users

Choose a data center in the United States, Europe or Asia. The order form estimates the latency from where you are to each location.

Grow without starting over

Start on a VPS, then move to a bigger plan, a VDS with NVMe storage or a dedicated server when the workload grows.

From order to first login

Order the app preinstalled on your server, or install it yourself with our guide.

  1. Pick the server

Choose a size from the table above and the data center closest to the people who will use the app.

  2. Add Dokploy

Select Dokploy as an app option when you order, or install it on a clean Ubuntu or Debian server with our guide.

  3. Create the admin account

Open the panel on port 3000 right after installing and create the admin account on the setup page.

  4. Add a domain and close port 3000

Give the panel its own HTTPS domain, then remove the public port 3000 as Dokploy’s documentation recommends.

Step-by-step setup guides

Install, secure and update the app with our guides, written for current Ubuntu and Debian releases.

Frequently asked questions

Still have a question? Send us a message and our team will reply by email.
Which features are in the self-hosted edition?

The self-hosted open-source edition includes multi-server deployments, basic roles and concurrent builds. SSO, SCIM, custom roles and audit logs belong to Dokploy’s Enterprise edition.

What does Dokploy install on my server?

The install script initialises Docker Swarm and runs the Dokploy app, PostgreSQL 16 and Traefik 3. Ports 3000, 80 and 443 must be free, or the installation stops.

Which systems is Dokploy tested on?

Among others Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, Debian 12, Fedora 40 and CentOS 9. Choose Ubuntu 24.04 LTS or Debian 12 when you order.

How do I secure the panel?

Create the admin account right after installing, give the panel an HTTPS domain and then remove the published port 3000, as Dokploy’s installation guide recommends. Keep SSH open to your own addresses only.

Can Dokploy run on several servers?

Yes. Add worker nodes to the Docker Swarm cluster, or connect remote servers and deploy to them from the same panel. Keep the nodes in the same location for low latency between them.

Can I bring my existing compose files?

Yes. Dokploy deploys Docker Compose stacks natively: paste the file or point Dokploy at a repository, add domains to the services and Traefik takes care of routing and certificates.
