Your files and your team’s work, on your server
Nextcloud Hub brings files, groupware and collaboration together. All-in-One sets it up with the parts a production server needs.
Files and sharing
Sync folders to every computer and phone, share with links, passwords and expiry dates, and restore older versions.
Calendars and contacts
CalDAV and CardDAV keep calendars and address books in sync with phones, Thunderbird and other clients.
Talk and Office
Chat and call with Nextcloud Talk and edit documents together with Nextcloud Office, both on your own server.
All-in-One with Borg backups
Nextcloud’s own Docker installer sets up the database, Redis, TLS and optional apps, and backs everything up with BorgBackup.
Root access, your rules
Every Linux VPS, VDS and dedicated server comes with full root access: you choose the versions, the add-ons and the security settings.
Backups included
Free weekly and monthly backups come with every VPS and VDS plan. For data that changes every day, keep copies of your own as well.
Locations on three continents
Run your server in the United States, Europe or Asia, close to the people who use it. The order form estimates the latency from where you are to each location.
Room to grow
Start on a VPS and move to a bigger plan, a VDS with NVMe storage or a dedicated server when your data and users grow.
Set up Nextcloud in four steps
Order the app preinstalled on your server, or install it yourself with our guide.
-
Choose your server
Pick a VPS, VDS or dedicated server in the size from the table above and the location closest to your users.
-
Install Nextcloud All-in-One
Choose Nextcloud as an app option, or install Docker and start the All-in-One master container as described in our guide.
-
Point your domain
Create a DNS record such as cloud.example.com for the server. All-in-One needs a domain and requests its free Let’s Encrypt certificate itself.
-
Finish in the AIO interface
Open the interface on port 8080, enter your domain, choose optional apps such as Office and Talk, start the containers and log in with the admin password shown.
Step-by-step setup guides
Install, secure and update the app with our guides, written for current Ubuntu and Debian releases.

What is Nextcloud All-in-One?
All-in-One is the Docker-based installer maintained by Nextcloud GmbH. One master container sets up Nextcloud, its database, Redis, a reverse proxy with automatic certificates, optional apps such as Office, Talk, antivirus and full-text search, and BorgBackup, all managed from a web interface.
Do I need a domain name?
Yes. All-in-One does not support an IP address or a self-signed certificate, and the desktop and mobile apps work best with a trusted certificate. A subdomain such as cloud.example.com pointed at the server is enough.
Which PHP and database versions does Nextcloud 35 support?
PHP 8.3, 8.4 and 8.5, with 8.5 recommended. For the database, MariaDB 10.11 to 12.3, MySQL 8.4 or 9.7, or PostgreSQL 14 to 18; SQLite is for testing only. All-in-One brings a matching PHP and PostgreSQL with it.
Can people use Nextcloud on their phones and computers?
Yes. The desktop client syncs folders on Windows, macOS and Linux, and the iOS and Android apps upload photos and open files. Calendars and contacts sync with any CalDAV and CardDAV client, and WebDAV works with file managers.
Can we edit documents together in the browser?
Yes, with Nextcloud Office, which is based on Collabora Online, or with ONLYOFFICE. Both run as optional containers in All-in-One and need extra memory, so choose the Team column or larger.
How are backups handled?
All-in-One includes BorgBackup: it backs up files, the database and the configuration on a schedule and restores them from the interface. Store the Borg repository on a second disk or another server, and our free weekly and monthly backups of the VPS add another layer.
Can I move from Google Drive or Dropbox?
Yes. Download your files and upload them with the desktop client, import calendars as .ics files and contacts as vCards. For very large libraries, copy the data to the server with rsync and run a file scan with occ.
Can Nextcloud Talk replace our video meetings?
For chat and small calls, yes: All-in-One includes Talk with its TURN server on port 3478. For large meetings and recording, plan more memory for the optional containers, or run Jitsi Meet on a server of its own.
