# HyperDC Pay: pay invoices with crypto, safely

> How HyperDC Pay works: crypto payments sent straight to our own wallets, the coins and networks offered, confirmations, rate locks and the safety rules.

Difficulty: Beginner\
Tested on: HyperDC client area

HyperDC Pay is our own way to pay invoices with cryptocurrency. It is built into the client area: you choose a coin and network on the invoice, send the payment from your wallet straight to our wallets, and we confirm it on the blockchain. There is no third-party payment processor in between. Step-by-step instructions are in [pay an invoice with crypto](/guides/pay-invoice-with-crypto).

## How it works

1. **Choose a coin and network** on the unpaid invoice. The panel shows the exchange rate.
2. **Confirm** that you understand crypto payments are non-refundable. The rate is then **locked** for the time shown by the countdown.
3. **Send** the exact amount to the address shown, by copying it, scanning the QR code or opening your wallet app.
4. **We confirm** the payment on the blockchain: the status moves from **Waiting** to **Detected**, **Confirming** and **Paid**. The invoice is marked paid and a receipt is emailed.

## Coins and networks

The pay panel lists the coins and networks available for your invoice. Examples are Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ether, and the stablecoins USDT and USDC, which are pegged to the US dollar, on networks such as Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum One and Tron.

The same coin can exist on several networks, and they are not interchangeable: USDT on Tron and USDT on Ethereum are different assets on different chains. Always send on exactly the network you chose.

## Confirmations and finality

A transaction is first seen on the network (**Detected**), then included in blocks (**Confirming**). We credit it once the network considers it final; the number of confirmations needed depends on the network and is shown on the panel. This protects both sides from transactions that could still be reversed.

## Rate lock and timing

When you continue, the exchange rate is locked for a limited time. If the window expires, get a new quote. A payment that arrives after the window is still credited, at the rate of the moment it arrives.

## Partial payments, overpayments and reviews

- **Partly paid:** less arrived than due, often because a wallet or exchange deducted its fee. Pay the remaining balance with a new quote.
- **Overpaid:** the invoice is paid and the difference is added to your account credit.
- **Under review:** some payments are checked by our team before they are credited. You do not need to do anything; we email you when it is done.

## Stay safe

- **We never ask for your private key or recovery phrase.** Anyone who does is trying to steal your funds.
- **Check the address after pasting it.** Compare the first and last characters; some malware replaces copied addresses.
- **Pay the network fee on top.** If the fee is deducted from the amount, the payment arrives short.
- **Send in one transaction.** Split payments cannot be matched.
- **Never send test-network coins** or tokens that only look like USDT or USDC. Bridged or look-alike tokens cannot be credited automatically.

## Refunds

Crypto payments are final and non-refundable, because exchange rates change all the time. The [refund policy](/legal/refund-policy) explains the rules for other payment methods.

## Your payment history

The **Crypto payments** page, linked from the billing card on your dashboard, lists every crypto payment with its coin, amount, status and a link to the transaction on a block explorer.

## Troubleshooting

**The payment is not detected.** Wait for your wallet or exchange to broadcast it; exchanges sometimes delay withdrawals. Then use **I already paid** on the panel and enter the transaction ID.

**"Crypto payments are not available in your region".** Use another payment method on the invoice page.

**You sent the wrong coin or used the wrong network.** Open a ticket with the transaction ID. Such payments cannot be credited automatically.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is HyperDC Pay a third-party payment processor?

No. It is built into our client area. Your wallet sends the payment straight to our own wallets, and we confirm it on the blockchain ourselves.

### Which coins and networks are supported?

The pay panel lists what is available for your invoice, such as Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ether, USDT and USDC on networks like Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum One and Tron.

### Why must I send the exact amount?

On networks such as Ethereum or Tron, the last digits of the amount identify your payment. A rounded or reduced amount cannot be matched automatically.

### Are crypto payments refundable?

No. Crypto payments are final and non-refundable, because exchange rates change all the time. The pay panel asks you to confirm this before it shows the payment details.

### What if crypto payments are not available to me?

In some regions crypto payments are not offered. The invoice page then lets you pay with another payment method.
