The refund policy is the binding document for refunds; this page does not replace it. It summarises where to look and how to ask, so that your request can be handled quickly.

Which services are covered?

The refund policy lists the services covered by its standard terms. They include hosting plans, VPS and VDS plans (Linux, Windows and macOS) and game servers, each with the conditions stated in the policy. Covered services can be cancelled within 30 days of payment and a refund requested.

If a service is not listed in the policy, its standard refund terms do not apply to it. When in doubt, ask us before you order.

What is deducted?

The policy names the deductions. For example, setup costs of macOS services and game servers are deducted from a refund, and for hosting the first payment after a free trial is not refundable.

Crypto payments

Payments made in cryptocurrency are final and non-refundable. Exchange rates change continuously, so crypto payments are excluded from refunds under the policy. HyperDC Pay asks you to confirm this before it shows the payment details. See HyperDC Pay.

How to request a refund

  1. Back up your data. A cancelled service is deleted.
  2. Request the cancellation on the service page: Services › My Services, open the service, Request Cancellation. See cancel a service.
  3. Open a support ticket that names the service and the invoice and asks for the refund, within the policy's time window.

The policy explains how approved refunds are paid.

Renewals and domains

The refund policy states how its time window applies to renewal payments. Domain registrations and renewals are processed by registries as soon as they are paid; check the policy and the domain registration agreement before you register or renew.

I was charged for a renewal I did not want.

Turn off auto renew for domains, and request cancellation for services you no longer need before their next due date. Then open a ticket about the renewal invoice; the policy decides whether it can be refunded.

Can I get account credit instead?

Ask in your ticket. Whether a refund or account credit is possible depends on the policy and the payment.

Where do I see my refunds?

Refunded invoices show the status Refunded under Billing › My Invoices.
