Virtual machines and emulators on a server with a GPU

A GPU VDS combines the two things that emulators, virtual desktops and many lab setups need: hardware virtualization inside the server and a GPU for graphics and compute. Run BlueStacks or LDPlayer on Windows, Docker Desktop and WSL 2, or a hypervisor lab, next to AI tools that use the GPU directly.

Choose a shared vGPU for lighter graphics and inference, or a dedicated GPU, a whole GPU for your server, when many emulator instances or larger models need its full memory and compute.

  • Nested virtualization on every GPU VDS
  • Android emulators with GPU-accelerated graphics
  • Shared vGPU or a whole dedicated GPU
  • Intel, NVIDIA or AMD, named in every plan

Room for VMs, emulators and GPU work

Nested virtualization

Run ESXi, Proxmox VE, Hyper-V, KVM, XenServer and more inside your server, or Android emulators, WSL 2 and Docker Desktop.

Shared vGPU or dedicated GPU

Choose a share of a physical GPU for lighter work, or a whole GPU that belongs to your server alone.

Android emulators

BlueStacks, LDPlayer, NoxPlayer, MEmu and other popular emulators get hardware virtualization and GPU-accelerated graphics.

Intel, NVIDIA or AMD

Each plan names its GPU maker, so you can match it to CUDA, ROCm or oneAPI software before you order.

Root or administrator access

Install drivers, hypervisors, emulators and your own software, with no panel in the way.

GPU in containers

Run Ollama, vLLM, ComfyUI or Jupyter images with GPU access through Docker or Podman.

Virtual desktops

Give a team remote desktops with GPU-accelerated graphics for design, video and testing tools.

A step below bare metal

Move to a GPU dedicated server when you need every GPU in the machine and your own hypervisor with GPU passthrough.

What is a GPU VDS?

A GPU VDS is a virtual dedicated server with a GPU. At HyperDC a VDS always has nested virtualization available, so you can run your own virtual machines, Android emulators or a hypervisor inside it. The GPU is a shared vGPU or a dedicated GPU, from Intel, NVIDIA or AMD.

What is nested virtualization used for?

Nested virtualization passes the processor’s virtualization extensions to your server. Software that starts virtual machines of its own needs it: Android emulators such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, NoxPlayer and MEmu, WSL 2 and Docker Desktop on Windows, and hypervisors such as VMware ESXi, Proxmox VE, Hyper-V or KVM for test labs.

What is the difference between a shared vGPU and a dedicated GPU?

A shared vGPU gives your server a share of a physical GPU, which suits emulators, remote desktops, GPU-accelerated apps and smaller models. A dedicated GPU assigns a whole GPU to your server, with all of its memory and compute, for larger models, many emulator instances and long rendering jobs. Each plan on this page shows which of the two it includes.

Which Android emulators can I run?

Popular emulators such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, NoxPlayer and MEmu run on Windows, and Android emulators that use KVM run on Linux. Nested virtualization gives them the hardware virtualization they need, and the GPU keeps graphics-heavy apps and games smooth. Our Android GPU servers page explains emulator setups in more detail.

Which GPUs do you offer?

Intel, NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. Each plan names its GPU, so you can check it against the requirements of your software, for example CUDA for NVIDIA, ROCm for AMD or oneAPI for Intel, before you order.

Can my virtual machines use the GPU?

The GPU belongs to your GPU VDS itself: drivers, containers and apps on the server use it directly, including emulators that render through it. Passing a GPU on to a virtual machine you start inside the server is a different setup; if you need whole GPUs for your own virtual machines, a GPU dedicated server with your own hypervisor is the line built for that.

Which operating systems can I install?

The systems each plan offers are listed on this page and in the order form. Windows suits Android emulators and remote desktops; Linux suits AI tools, containers and hypervisor labs. Choose a release your GPU software supports.

GPU VDS or GPU VPS: which one do I need?

Both are virtual servers with a shared vGPU or a dedicated GPU. Choose a GPU VDS when software inside the server starts virtual machines of its own: Android emulators, WSL 2, Docker Desktop or a hypervisor. If your workload runs directly on the server, a GPU VPS is enough.

How do I connect to my GPU VDS?

On Windows you connect with Remote Desktop as the administrator; on Linux you sign in as root over SSH. We email the login details when the server is ready, and you manage the service, invoices and support tickets from the client area.

Which billing cycles can I choose?

Every plan lists the billing cycles it is offered with. Switch the cycle above the plans to compare prices; longer cycles show the saving against monthly billing when there is one.

How do I pay?

Choose one of the payment methods offered at checkout. Every invoice also stays available in the client area, where you can pay it online.

Where do I manage my service after ordering?

Your service appears in the client area as soon as it is set up. From there you can manage it, pay invoices and open support tickets.
