## How much does a No More Room in Hell server need?

A Source engine server for eight players is light. Plugins, large custom maps and running several servers add up.

The developers publish no server hardware figures; these starting points are our estimate for a Source engine server. Disk follows the catalogue install size plus room for maps and updates.

## Modes, maps and server tools

A classic Source engine server with everything that comes with it.

### Objective maps

Survivors complete tasks that change from round to round and reach the extraction zone before time runs out.

### Survival maps

The team defends zones against waves of zombies, with supply drops along the way and extraction if the zones hold.

### Workshop and custom maps

No More Room in Hell supports the Steam Workshop and includes level editing tools, so your rotation can grow beyond the stock maps.

### SourceMod

Metamod:Source and SourceMod support the game, for admin menus, map votes and other plugins.

### rcon

Set rcon\_password in server.cfg and change maps or kick players remotely.

## Set up your No More Room in Hell server

Four steps to your first extraction.

1. ### Choose maps and plugins
Decide between objective and survival, stock or Workshop maps, and whether you use SourceMod. Then pick a size above.
2. ### Pick a location
Choose the one closest to your players from our 20 game server locations.
3. ### Edit server.cfg
Set hostname, a password if you want one and rcon\_password, and choose the start map, for example nmo\_broadway.
4. ### Gather your survivors
Players find the server in the browser or connect from the console with the address and port 27015.
