Entrada publishes no server hardware figures; these starting points follow the community server tool’s guidance of 6 GB by default and 8 GB above 50 players.
Workshop, rules and remote admin
hosting.cfg holds the rules of your server, from the name and password to bases, cameras and factions.
Steam Workshop
List Workshop item IDs, comma-separated, in steam_ugc and the server loads them at start.
Bases and storage
g_gameRules_bases controls base building, and recent updates added protection for base storage.
World rules
Tune the time of day with wm_timeScale and wm_timeScaleNight, crafting with g_craftingSpeedMultiplier and cameras with g_gameRules_Camera.
RCON
Start the server with +http_startserver and set http_password; RCON answers on the base port plus four. Use a password different from sv_password.
Whitelist and password
Keep the server private with sv_password, or start it with -mis_whitelist to let only listed players in.
EasyAntiCheat
Since the summer 2026 updates, Miscreated uses EasyAntiCheat to protect community servers.

Frequently asked questions
Are there official Miscreated servers?
No. Entrada Interactive states that there are no official Miscreated servers; every server is run by the community. Update 1.19.0 also removed the dependency on Entrada’s relay server.
How many players can join?
The default launch line sets +sv_maxplayers 50. You can lower or raise it; plan more memory above 50 players.
Which ports does the server use?
The base port is 64090, set with -sv_port. The server uses it and the next three ports over UDP (64090–64093), and RCON listens on TCP 64094, the base port plus four.
How do I add Workshop mods?
Add the Workshop item IDs to steam_ugc in hosting.cfg, separated by commas, and restart. The server downloads them, and players get them when they join.
How do I use RCON?
Start the server with +http_startserver and set http_password in hosting.cfg. RCON uses XML-RPC over HTTP on the base port plus four; the password must differ from sv_password.
Can I run a whitelisted server?
Yes. Start the server with -mis_whitelist so only players on the list can join, or set sv_password for a simple private server.
Where is the world saved?
In miscreated.db, an SQLite database in the server folder, tied to the -mis_gameserverid start option. Stop the server and copy the file to back it up.
Does the server run on Linux?
The server is a 64-bit Windows program. The community server tool that Entrada pins on its Steam forum runs it on Linux under Wine.
Is Miscreated still updated?
Yes. Development restarted, and the updates of June and July 2026 added EasyAntiCheat and base storage protection. Update the server with SteamCMD app 302200 after each patch.
