## How big should a LEAP server be?

LEAP is built for large battles with vehicles and jetpacks. Player count and the game mode set the load.

| Feature | **Small** Up to 16 players | Recommended **Medium** Up to 32 players | **Large battles** Up to 60 players |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Memory (RAM)Working memory for the world, the players and every mod. Leave headroom: memory use grows as players explore. | 4 GB | 6 GB | 8 GB |
| CPU coresThe game simulates the world mostly on one thread, so fast cores matter more than many cores. | 2 | 3 | 4 |
| Disk spaceRoom for the game files, the world and its backups, plus updates and mods. | 20 GB | 25 GB | 30 GB |
| Game modeSmall team modes need less than Base Control battles with vehicles across a large map. | TDM, CTF, KOTH | VIP or Horde | Base Control |
| Typical use | A clan practice server | Community matches | Large modded battles |

Blue Isle Studios publishes no server hardware figures; these starting points follow common practice for Unreal Engine shooters of this size.

## Maps, mods and admin tools

Game.ini controls what your server plays and who runs it.

### Map list

MapListConfig sets the maps and modes your server rotates through.

### Mutators

MutatorList adds mutators that change the rules of your matches.

### Mods

User-made content arrived with LEAP 1.0 in March 2023, with modded servers from day one; list mod IDs in ModIds.

### Admins

Add admins by Steam ID to WhitelistedAdmins; they type /serverhelp in chat to see the admin commands.

### Web console

WebServerPort, WebServerUsername and WebServerPass open a remote console in your browser; the port is 8000 by default.

### Anti-cheat

bEnableAntiCheatForServer turns the anti-cheat on for your server.

## Set up your LEAP server
