## How big should a Day of Infamy server be?

Slots, bots and Workshop content decide the load. Co-op servers simulate the enemy team, so they need more CPU per player.

| Feature | **Co-op squad** A small squad against bots | Recommended **Community** Up to 24 slots | **Full server** Up to 32 slots or big mods |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Memory (RAM)Memory for the map, the players and every plugin. Classic shooters are light; plugins and custom maps add to it. | 2 GB | 3 GB | 4 GB |
| CPU coresSource and GoldSrc servers simulate the match on one main thread, so a fast core matters more than many cores. | 2 | 2 | 3 |
| Disk spaceThe server content is about 12 GB; Workshop maps and mods come on top. | 20 GB | 25 GB | 30 GB+ |
| BotsCo-op modes fill the enemy side with AI, which the server has to simulate. | Full enemy team | Optional | Optional |
| Typical use | Friends in co-op | A PvP community map cycle | Full PvP or Screaming Steel |
