Drupal plans are being prepared

How big a server does Drupal need?
Traffic, editors, modules and search decide the size. Caching lets a small server carry a lot of anonymous traffic.

Drupal lists 1 GB of RAM as its minimum, and Composer needs at least 1 GB of free memory to run. These sizes leave room for the database and caching on the same server.
Drupal the way its developers run it
Composer, Drush and a recent PHP are what Drupal expects. On your own server they are all yours to configure.
Structured content
Content types, fields, taxonomies and Views turn complex information into pages, lists and APIs.
Drupal CMS and Canvas
Drupal CMS 2 adds the Canvas visual page builder, ready-made recipes and site templates on top of Drupal 11.
Multilingual by design
Translate content, menus and the interface into many languages with the modules in core.
Composer and Drush
Install modules with composer require and run updates, cache rebuilds and deployments with Drush over SSH.
Caching under your control
Add OPcache, Redis or Valkey, a page cache or Varnish where the CMS supports them, and tune them for your traffic.
Staging next to production
Run a copy of the site on a second subdomain to test updates, themes and extensions before they reach your visitors.
Root access, your rules
Every Linux VPS, VDS and dedicated server comes with full root access: you choose the versions, the add-ons and the security settings.
Backups included
Free weekly and monthly backups come with every VPS and VDS plan. For data that changes every day, keep copies of your own as well.
Launch Drupal in four steps

Frequently asked questions
Drupal core or Drupal CMS: which should I install?
Drupal CMS is Drupal 11 with the Canvas page builder, recipes for common features and site templates, aimed at marketers and site builders who want a ready start. Drupal core suits developers who build a site from scratch. Both are installed with Composer.
What does Drupal 11 need on the server?
PHP 8.3 or 8.4, or 8.5 from Drupal 11.3; MySQL 8.0, MariaDB 10.6, PostgreSQL 16 with pg_trgm or SQLite 3.45 or newer; Apache 2.4.7 with mod_rewrite or Nginx; and at least 1 GB of RAM. Composer needs at least 1 GB of free memory.
Drupal 10 reaches end of life soon. What should I do?
Drupal 10 gets security updates until 9 December 2026. Use the Upgrade Status module to find code that needs changes, update contributed modules and move to Drupal 11 on a staging copy first. Drupal 12, planned for the same week, will need PHP 8.5, MariaDB 10.11 or PostgreSQL 18.
Can Drupal run on shared hosting?
Small sites can, but Drupal is built around Composer and Drush, which need SSH access and memory. A VPS gives you both, plus the PHP version and caching layers you choose.
How do I make Drupal fast?
Keep OPcache and Drupal’s internal page cache on, aggregate CSS and JavaScript, and add Redis or Valkey for the cache backend. Busy sites add Varnish in front and Solr or OpenSearch for search through the Search API module.
Can you move my Drupal site to HyperDC?
Migration is free on our Linux VPS plans. We copy the code, the files folder and the database, and you switch DNS once everything works on the new server.
